The Mayfield Chair joins our line of blow-molded items, including both round and banquet-style tables. Blow-molding allows for a more solid construction, with no possible fault lines as there can exist in wooden items. Unlike cheaper plastic chairs, blow-molding creates a thicker product which provides a better support structure. Both the back and seat portions are contoured to provide the maximum amount of comfort. This makes events where there are long stretches of sitting even better.
The leg tubing is made from 19-gauge steel, which is powder coated to prevent rusting and protect the metal from chips and scrapes. Thicker tubing means greater weight-bearing capability, and longer life due to improved strength. Tubing constitutes the legs and seat side supports, which run for the bulk of the length of the seat. Underneath, the two side supports are connected via a metal bar. Reinforced tubing helps the thicker blow-molding contribute to an even stronger overall chair. Each of the legs ends in a plastic foot to protect flooring from the tube ends and provide added stability.
